All About Donnie And How To Get There

All About Donnie And How To Get There
Doncaster Rovers, or unbeknown to me 'the Vikings'! are managed be ex-Albion player Paul Dickov and play there home games at the Keepmoat Stadium (that's moat for you Celebrity Juice fans), which has a capacity of just 15,231.

Donny traditionally play in red hooped shirts with blue and black hoops for away trips.

They gained promotion again last season after just one season league 1 coming up as champions.

We can never talk about Doncaster without stirring both sad and happy memories, not because of Doncaster but for what was going on at the times we have played them.

Doncaster were the last ever visitors to the good old Goldstone Ground where many a tear was shed as every fan wondered whether they had just seen their beloved Brighton play their last game.

However low and behold when the Seagulls rose from the ashes and found themselves preparing to enter the pitch in their new state of the art 27,000 seat Amex stadium, in the Championship, who were our opponents?
yep it was good old Doncaster Rovers, either a massive dose of fate or some unusual sensitivity from the FA.

For those there those two late Will Buckley goals will probably always be your favourite football memory of all time.

So this Saturday 2nd November 2013, Brighton and Hove Albion will again meet Doncaster Rovers in the Championship and go to the Keepmoat Stadium really needing to come away with the three points.

If you are going here are some details that may be of help to you.

The address of Doncaster FC is:
Doncaster Rovers Football Club
Keepmoat Stadium
Stadium Way
South Yorkshire

The nearest / closest train station to Doncaster Rovers' Keepmoat Stadium is Doncaster. If you arrive at Doncaster railway station be aware that it's approximately 2 miles from the stadium so unless you fancy a walk, you may be best catching a bus from outside the station or jumping into one of the taxi's at the rank. There is a dedicated bus service from the Doncaster Interchange bus station which is another option and runs from approx 2 hours before kick off. It's the other side of the shopping centre. It runs every 10 minutes direct to the Stadium.

Date:Friday November 1 2013
Time: 9:42AM

It is Donny not Donnie. Brighton actually asked the Football League if Rovers could be their first visitors to the new ground.
