When I take my seat for the game against Villareal in just over a weeks time, it will probably be nice and warm and I will be there in my Brighton shirt trying not to sweat to much as it stains the clothes terribly. However come the Barnsley game on the 3rd of December I will be packing enough survival gear to get to the Arctic and back.

I don't know if it's just me but during the winter months, especially if there's a cold wind blowing, being in a stadium that's dug in approximately 100ft to the south downs I find that my fingers and toes could be coated in breadcrumbs and put in a packet of that famous captains fish fingers. This isn't quite as much when pitch side but more when getting a nice warm pint of the amber nectar.

I have often wondered whilst thawing my limbs in the cramped train on the way back to Eastbourne, whether the Amex could be installed with hot air blowers to offset some of the discomfort that the pre-match ritual of drinks and chat tend to cause. I for one would welcome them with hypothermic arms.
