Brighton & Plymouth United

Brighton & Plymouth United
Fans of Brighton & Hove Albion are rallying around to help get the plight of Plymouth Argyle get noticed on a national scale.

Fans Re-United will be taking place on Saturday 24th September, where Plymouth host Port Vale in their League Two fixture.

Brighton fans will be travelling down to Home Park to show their support for Argyle, who find themselves on the brink of liquidation and going out of existence.

During the transfer window, Premier League teams spent over 400,000,000 on new players, but at the other end of the scale the playing and admin staff did not get paid, and only a last ditch package saved the club from folding.

Brighton fans have also made the Leeds United game, on Friday 23rd September a 'Green and White' day, which is intended to give a visual impact of Brighton's support for Plymouth's fight.

Brighton fans have been encouraged to wear green or white, and make banners in support of Plymouth, to the game which takes place live in front of the Sky Sports TV cameras. (19.45 kick off)

Argyle are in such a state, that players have taken a 60% pay cut just to help the club stay in business, but some have found themselves unpaid since October 2010.

It has got to a point where players are contemplating selling their homes, just so they can afford to live, and have the money to buy petrol to be able to drive to training.

They are in need of help, and the Brighton fans are showing the spirit that got them through the dark days under Archer, Bellotti and Stanley.

Seagulls fans have started some internet campaigns on Facebook and Twitter (#savepafc), as well as the matches being attended on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th September.

The fans united, will never be defeated!

Fair play Brighton fans are top class.... wonder if Leeds fans could do the same... the red card would be a good one to use for the live game ? Argyle are playing Port Vale not Macclesfield on the 24th Sept btw
