New Contract Deals Nearly Sorted For Seagulls Trio

New Contract Deals Nearly Sorted For Seagulls Trio
Albion trio Glenn Murray, Liam Bridcutt and Gary Dicker are close to agreeing new deals to keep them at the club for another year.

They follow in the footsteps of Adam El Abd who agreed a new two year deal at the end of last week.

Murray, who signed in 2008 has made 125 appearances scoring 51 times. Since his 300,000 move from Rochdale, Murray had struggled to settle i the past, but is now flourishing with 17 goals already this season.

Bridcutt was signed on a 3 month contract in September, but had his contract extended until the end of this season.

He impressed over the season just infront of the back four, but hit the headlines with an injury time volley to seal Saturday's 4-3 win over Carlisle.

Dicker was signed for 15,000 by Russell Slade in 2009 and has impressed in his 84 appearances for the club.

Dicker has also been subject of interest from Roy Hodgson at West Bromwich Albion, as well as Billy Davies at Nottingham Forest.

Poyet said 'We know where we want to go with them. Those three have been playing all the time and helping the team to where it is. We'll have individual situations resolved in the next few weeks.'

'Glenn is an easy case because he is a striker who has scored 17 goals and is free in three months time,' said Poyet.

It's putting pressure on the club. The club know that and has been dealing with that. At the same time, he is in a great position for his future.

Players who are finishing their contracts are free now and they could have other options.

I don't forget that. The players may say they are not in a hurry. It depends on your character as well. If it was me, I wouldn't sign.'
