Navarro Set For February Return

Navarro Set For February Return
Alan Navarro is on the road to recovery after suffering cruciate knee ligament damage during Brighton's first round Carling Cup exit at the hands of Liverpool's conquerors, Northampton Town.

Navarro was a key member of Poyet's team before he suffered the horrific injury in August. After having a succesful operation the week after, Navarro is on the road to recovery and could be ready for first team action in February.

If he is on schedule, he will be in line to face his former team MK Dons, from whom he signed for The Albion in 2009 on a two year deal after his release.

On his return, he faces stiff competition for a place in the middle of midfield with Matt Sparrow, Gary Dicker, Radostin Kishishev.

Liam Bridcutt, bought as a replacement for Navarro is out of contract in January, but is eyeing up a deal to keep him with The Seagulls until the end of the season at least.
