Brighton Bossed By Boro
Brighton's Championship season continued with a three-nil defeat against Middlesbrough at the Amex Stadium on Saturday as that unbeaten run finally came to an end!
Middlesbrough took just four-minutes to go ahead when Kike headed home early on with Albert Adomah, who created the opener, getting the final touch to a Daniel Ayala header on half time to leave Brighton with a mountain to climb at half time.
Against such a mean defence, such as Boro's, this was always unlikely with Cristhian Stuani heading home from another corner just past the hour to make absolutely sure.
Brighton struggled to create any real clear cut chances with the Middlesbrough defence showing why more than 50% of their games have ended with them securing a cleansheet, which had been the case for Boro in the last six-matches in the league!
Not only was the 21-match unbeaten start to the season ended Middlesbrough opened up a three-point gap over Albion who lost second spot to Derby after they won so Brighton drop out of the top two for Christmas.
