March (5) got Brighton off to a great start when he fired past MK Dons 'keeper Martin from 20-yards. Dunk had threatened with a head from a corner with March reaction to this when this was blocked to put Albion ahead.

A second could have came; with the game wrapped up with only 15-minutes played, but a Murphy cross was headed wide, from a good position, by Hemed.

The lead was doubled inside 20-minutes though when Murphy (19) put the finishing touches to another move to make it two for Brighton with Bruno, Baldock and March all involved in a move the former Sheffield United finished off.

MK Dons soon had once back through Maynard (23) as he powered past Stockdale to give the visitors a lifeline.

However, Brighton could have been out of sight by half time with Hemed having a hat-trick of chances, putting one effort wide, hitting the post with another and then heading that rebound over from close range.

The visitors felt they should have been given a second half penalty when Carruthers went down in the area under a challenge from Dunk, who might have been fortunate, but it wasn't given. Carruthers himself also threatened to get MK Dons back into the game but his shot was well saved by Stockdale.

Albion could have added to the lead, to make sure of the points with March and Zamora, who was again introduced from the bench, both going close but the first half goals were enough.
