Blackpool 1 Brighton 0 (Report)

1 - 0

Bloomfield Road

31/01/15; 3pm

Attendance: 10,575

Now that wasn't in the script! Brighton have been in pretty good form under Chris Hughton, we had pushed Arsenal all the way in the FA Cup and Blackpool came into the game on Saturday afternoon having been thrashed seven-two by Watford.

It was Blackpool that secured a precious three-points though when they beat us one-nil at Bloomfield Road.

We had enough chances, a combination of poor finishing, good saves or good defending from Blackpool prevented us from making the breakthrough with the game looked to be heading for a goalless draw....

That was until O'Hara (75) fired in a wonderful 35-yard freekick to put Blackpool ahead 15-minutes from time, a lead that they saw through despite our pushing for a leveller to see our run of three successive away wins end.

We're still out of the relegation zone, with Blackpool still some nine-points from safety, but they'll take heart from this win - how we react will tell us much about our own chances of making sure that we don't get sucked back into the bottom three....
