Albion look to convert a performance into a result and end the winless run once and for all as they host Peterborough at the Amex tomorrow night.
A dominant display against Leeds last Friday could only yield a point for the Seagulls, meaning they've now gone 7 games since they last tasted victory - a run that has seen them sink from a table-topping position right down to 10th.
By contrast, Darren Ferguson's Posh side have seen a recent turnaround in results following an horrendous start that left them bottom and pointless after 7 games. They've managed 4 wins from their last 7, bumping them up a couple of places.
Gus Poyet told seagulls.co.uk, "We have created lots of chances but we have not been scoring. It's difficult to understand. You can analyse down to the very last detail, but it's the way that it is. Sometimes football is not fair.
"It hurts but we need to accept it and concentrate on the performance every game. If we perform well we are going to be winners. If we start worrying and change too many things we won't perform. It has got to turn around."
Long-serving defender Adam El-Abd is a doubt after suffering a slight hamstring strain against Leeds, and will undergo a late fitness test - Lewis Dunk could deputise.
Midfield stalwart Liam Bridcutt serves a one-game suspension after picking up a 5th yellow card on Friday night.
The Spaniard midfielder gave Albion a notable injection of creativity when he returned to the starting line-up against Leeds. Capable of splitting a defence with a mere 10 yard pass, Orlandi could be crucial to the Seagulls breaking down the Posh defence to prevent another potential 'bus parking' situation.
Posh will be without full-back Ngos Ntlhe, who is due to undergo a scan after picking up an injury during Saturday's defeat at Sheffield Wednesday.
Left-wing back Tommy Rowe is rated at 50/50, and could be replaced by youngster Joe Newell, whilst Emile Sinclair could return to the squad.
Former side-kick of Craig Mackail-Smith, versatile attacker Boyd has bagged 6 goals already this season - including a long-range effort from inside the centre circle during a recent home success. The creative leftie will need to be marshaled well when in and around the area.
Albion made it 4 wins from 4 against Posh, in the space of two seasons as they recorded 2-0 and 2-1 victories over Ferguson's men last term.
The 2-0 Amex success, which included a stunning free-kick from league debutant Ryan Harley, thrust the Seagulls to the top of the division in September 2011.
Will Buckley starred in the reverse fixture at London Road, notching a brace, including a trademark last minute strike, to secure the points in dramatic fashion.
