Reactions - Huddersfield v Brighton (9/12/17)

Following today's clash between Huddersfield Town and Brighton, here are the instant reactions from both managers.

Huddersfield Town hosted Brighton at the John Smith's Stadium for a 3pm kick off on Saturday December 9, with the hosts taking a two nil victory with a brace from Steve Mounie.

David Wagner's side ended a run of four straight defeats but Chris Hughton's side are now without a win in their last five games.

Lossl, Smith, Jorgensen, Schindler, Lowe, Mooy, Hogg, Kachunga (Williams 89), Ince (Lolley 87), Quaner, Mounie (Depoitre 85).

Whitehead, Coleman, Cranie, Hadergjonaj.

Ryan, Bruno, Duffy, Dunk, Suttner, Schelotto (March 45), Stephens, Propper, Brown (Hemed 73), Gross (Izquierdo 63), Murray.

Hunemeier, Kayal, Baldock, Krul.

Speaking to the BBC's cameras a short time after match day referee Stuart Attwell blew the final whistle, Huddersfield Town head coach David Wagner explained.

'Today was exactly what we need to do at home to be successful. We wanted to be on our front foot and press them high. I think it worked as we kept them away from our goal. The boys were brave and invested everything. I'm really pleased that Steve Mounie got his two goals; his first after the injury. I thought his overall game was good too; he worked so hard.'

Brighton manager Chris Hughton in his comparitive interview explained.

'We did not play at the level we needed to play but you give them a leg up when you concede the goals we conceded. That allows a good Huddersfield team playing at home to get in a rhythm and that makes the afternoon a very, very tough one. We were better in the second half and showed more of a threat but they could do it with the security of knowing they had a two-goal lead.'
