Swindon v Brighton (Preview)

Swindon v Brighton (Preview)

Brighton's season has kicked off, and got up and running, in the past week with successive Championship wins but it's League Cup football tonight.

Sami Hyypia's first win as Albion manager came in this competition against Cheltenham, in tonight's second round at the County Ground we face League 1 side Swindon.

Massimo Luongo suffered a tight hamstring leading up to Swindon's league game on Saturday so he was rested but he should return. On loan Derby defender Josh Lelan saw his loan end at the weekend but an extension is wanted, if it is granted he should play.

An impressive Albion debut for on loan Aston Villa left back Joe Bennett ended with a slight calf problem so he'll not be risked tonight, Adam Chicksen will be a straight replacement.

New Spanish striker Adrian Colunga, signed from Getafe on Sunday, should come in for an instant debut.

It's expected that Hyypia will make changes with Casper Ankergren, Aaron Hughes and Chris O'Grady among those likely to come in with Paddy McCourt handed his debut.

The forms starting to look much more impressive for us but the League Cup form away from home isn't as the last seven we've played away we've lost, including the last meeting with Swindon in 2012.

Hyypia won this as a player, perhaps it's unlikely that he'll win it as a manager this season but he'll not want to exit yet.
