Monakana Moves To Aberdeen On Loan

Monakana Moves To Aberdeen On Loan

Young winger Jeffrey Monakana has moved to Scottish club Aberdeen until January on a loan spell.

The 20 year old joined us at the end of January last season from Preston North End, and although he hasn't made an appearance for the first team yet, he did spend a month out on loan for further experience with Crawley Town where he made four appearances.

He loan spell to Aberdeen for half a season should really give him to opportunity to kick on and get more first team action under his belt so he can return in good form and hopefully kick on with us and impress new manager Sami Hyypia.

Having completed his medical earlier this evening, the player has now signed onto the SPL side until January 5.

Head of Operations David Burke told the Official Site.

'This is a great opportunity for Jeffrey to go to a successful, well run club, and to play for one of the top teams in the SPL. He came back to us for pre season training looking sharp and it was no surprise to us that several clubs were interested in taking him on loan.'

Burke goes on to say the best way for him to earn his shot in the first team here is by making an impact at a good level for another team, and when he returns to have given the gaffer no alternative but to give him his shot.

'We are confident that Derek McInnes and his staff can get the best out of him and we wish Jeffrey well for his loan spell.'
