Stephen Henderson Interest

Stephen Henderson Interest

Brighton need another goalkeeper and the latest name linked with Albion is West Ham's Stephen Henderson.

Henderson is a name that will be familiar to some of us as Wayne Henderson, a former goalkeeper of ours, is his uncle.

West Ham have Henderson, who has been sent out on loan several times to get first team football, under contract for another season so if the Argus is right and we are interested in the Republic of Ireland international we could look to get him on a season long loan before a permanent signing next summer?

A 'lucrative contract' with the Premier League side could be a problem though meaning his wages could be an issue but he is another name added to the list that includes England international Jack Butland, who could come in on loan from Stoke City.

Casper Ankergren will do us a job when asked but this season is probably too soon for Christian Walton to be thrust into the first team so another goalkeeper, loan or permanently, is needed and I trust Hyypia will get his man and they'll be the right one.
