It would involve a big drop in wages but Keiran Westwood could get his career back on track by joining Brighton with Sami Hyypia interested in signing the goalkeeper, which is certainly an area we need to look at.
Tomasz Kuszczak was released at the end of last season but the Polish international could be replaced by another international in the shape of Republic of Ireland's Westwood, but England international Jack Butland has also had an enquiry made as to his availability too.
29 year old Westwood was released by Sunderland with the Argus saying that he's 'one of the top candidates' that have been singled out by Albion to become our next number one.
Butland enquiries have been made about a season long loan, with it likely that the former Birmingham goalkeeper would be allowed to leave Stoke in such a capacity again but it's also thought that Sevilla could be interested in a loan as well and they could offer him top flight Spanish football and the Europa League.
I like both goalkeepers, I'd prefer us to have a permanent one as opposed to someone on loan but as I think Westwood might be too expensive wages wise Butland could be the more likely option of the two, if we manage either!
We need a goalkeeper though that's certain.
