Brighton Face Cheltenham In The Capital One Cup

The draw for the first round of the Capital One Cup 2014-15 took place earlier today, and Brighton have been paired with Cheltenham Town.

The game will take place at the Amex in the week commencing August 11th, and it will be new manager Sami Hyypia's second competitive fixture since taking on the role at the club.

To open our cup competition this season, the club are also offering entry to junior's for just £1 following a joint League and Sponsor initiative.

Two first round ties will be selected for TV viewing by Sky Sports and those games will take place on Monday August 11th and Wednesday August 13th, and both will kick off at 7.45pm.

Concrete date, kick off and ticket information will all follow in due course, as will details of the Junior initiative and information on how to redeem that price.

Jaidev Janardana, chief marketing officer at the sponsor's of the competition said of the Junior initiative.

'We wanted to make round one as family friendly as possible and we hope our great offer will encourage parents across the UK to treat the whole family to a host of great games, and, no doubt, goals galore.'
