Hyypia Now The Favourite?

It's being reported that many bookies have now closed the book on former Liverpool defender Sami Hyypia being named as our new manager, and now the Daily Mail are saying that he's on the verge of signing a three year deal to become Oscar Garcia's replacement following his resignation.

The 40 year has spent time in the Bundesliga as a manager, and was sacked by Bayer Leverkusen last season despite leading them into a Champions League qualification position.

He knows the English game well from his decade at Liverpool as a player, and not only did his playing career stand before him, he's also said to be very well connected in England and Europe and is highly tipped to have a very successful future as a manager as he continues to develop in that direction.

His time at Leverkusen lasted for two years and he oversaw 92 games, winning 50 of them and only losing 27, so clearly there is something about him.

This is only paper talk at the moment, but he's certainly come through the speculation as the favourite in recent days.
