Sami Hyypia In Talks With Albion

Sami Hyypia In Talks With Albion

Sami Hyypia was first linked with the vacancy at the Amex a couple of weeks ago, since then though it's all gone quiet.

That's until today with Sky Sports reporting that he's in talks about becoming the next Albion manager.

A return to England has always been the aim for the former Liverpool defender who has been without a job since his sacking by Bayer Leverkusen earlier this year after being in charge for 18 months of the German side.

If Sky Sports are correct we could soon be naming our next manager then?

That is of course if these talks, should they be taking place, prove to be successful and he sees the job of getting us into the Premier League more appealing than jobs with Southampton and West Brom, both of whom the 40 year old was also linked with.

Hyypia follows the trend of managers we've gone for of late but we really need someone that will stick around for more than a year or two now and if Hyypia's willing to do that then I'm more than happy for him to be confirmed as our next manager as soon as possible as I think he'll do a good job.
