Support Grows For Clement

Tim Sherwood remains the favourite for the Brighton job, with the bookies at least, but another name is starting to gain plenty of interest in the better markets.

Currently coaching at Spanish giants Real Madrid Paul Clement could be handed his first chance at management with Albion.

The Argus reports that even though Clement is a trusted ally of Carlo Ancelotti he has also encouraged him to take steps into management in his own right once the right opportunity comes up? Could a job at the Amex be the one for him.

Coaching at some of the best clubs in England and Europe would have benefited him having worked with Ancelotti at Chelsea, Paris St Germain and now Real Madrid but coaching and management are different things.

If only we could have a crystal ball to see if this, if it interested Clement, would pay off.

Should Sherwood be interested in the vacant managers job then perhaps given his previous as a manager, even if it's mixed and limited itself, he might be the safer option to go with but then again sometimes deciding not to play if safe pays off.
