Jake Delighted With Goal Award

Jake Forster-Caskey has said he's delighted to have topped off the campaign this season by winning the Goal of the Season Award.

The midfield youngster said that he felt all of the young players has thrived off each other this campaign with so many of them putting in key shifts in our run for the play off spots, and having been awarded for his strike against Doncaster Rovers, he doesn't believe this term could've gone any better for him.

Speaking to the Official Site he explained.

'I'm delighted to get an award in my first proper season in the first team, and to sore the goal of the season makes me really proud. A lot has happened and I've come through with a lot of other youngsters, we're all friends and delighted for each other and I am delighted for Rohan Ince winning Young Player of the Season.'

Forster-Caskey went on to praise the support he has received from the fans because he's obviously made mistakes at points because he's still learning, and he's very thankful for the support he's been given.

As for Rohan Ince's award, he also told the official site after the presentation that he was delighted to have impressed head coach Oscar Garcia enough to make him one of those nominated.

'I've picked up a few awards as a junior, but to pick up an award at senior level is a massive achievement and I'm really proud and thankful for Oscar and his staff for nominating me. If you had told me this time last season that I'd be playing in the first team and getting Young Player of the Season, playing 30 games for Brighton, I would've said you were lying to me. I couldn't ask for more.'

All eyes to the future now for both of our youngsters as they continue to develop and hopefully become an even more intrinsic part of our first team.
