Weekend Return For CMS

Weekend Return For CMS

Brighton were preparing for the Championship game with Blackburn on Monday when Craig Mackail-Smith was playing again for the development squad on Monday, but with his performance watched via a live feed by the Albion coaching staff a close eye was kept on him.

Nathan Jones has told the official website that all were impressed with the striker.

Coming through the full 90 minutes, and scored two goals, proved he was capable of managing such a thing with a hint given that he could come into contention for this weekends trip to Barnsley.

'It was fantastic to see him back, we watched the game at the hotel on Monday night on Seagulls Player. He showed a real desire, looked as close to the CMS we know. His first goal was typical of him - he took it really well. For his second he showed real potency and strength.

'He has shown in that game he is capable of playing 90 minutes, scoring in injury time and that he`s ready now. I am sure he will be full of adrenaline and desire after Monday and we are hopeful he will be an important player for us towards the end of the season.'

Not only CMS but also Will Hoskins could be another in contention.

Defensively we've let ourselves down recently, Jones is looking for defensive improvement to come back again but in the meantime if we can add some more goals to our game then these two could be the answer to bring us some more goals.
