Brighton v Middlesbrough (Preview)

Brighton's hopes of getting a much needed win to get us back into play off contention have been dealt a blow with a virus within the squad ahead of Middlesbrough visit to the Amex on Saturday.

This virus limited us to just six substitutes in the defeat to Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday with Inigo Calderon, Dale Stephens and Leonardo Ulloa all ruled out as a result.

It's hoped this will clear by tomorrow though, or at least ease.

Andrea Orlandi (thigh) is struggling to make the squad once again having missed several Albion games through injury.

Middlesbrough will have Grant Leadbitter available again following suspension and Kei Kamara could come back after injury.

Former England defender Jonathan Woodgate (calf) remains doubtful though.

We'll desperately be hoping that we can complete the double over Middlesbrough after winning 1-0 at the Riverside in December, three points is almost a must after back to back defeats.

Despite these defeats we're still only three points adrift of the top six but you wouldn't expect them to slip up too many more times so we know we can't either.

I'm not making a prediction on the outcome as I did this for Tuesday and look where that got us!
