Monakana Leaves On Loan

Monakana Leaves On Loan

U21 midfielder Jeff Monakana has moved to Crawley Town on a months long loan spell.

The winger trained with his new team mates for the first time this morning and is available for selection in their game on Saturday where the 21 year old could face his former team Preston North End at Deepdale.

Since joining us he has yet to make a first team appearance for us, but has been a regular in our development squad and the Academy coach Simon Ireland has told the Official Site that he's delighted to see another young charge be in demand and get a chance out on loan.

'It's great that another league club has recognised one of our young players as someone that can go out and play for them, it highlights the quality we have here at Brighton.'

Ireland goes on to say that with Shamir Goodwin and Brennan Dickenson already growing and developing as players through their spells out, he knows how important it is for talented youngster to get real pitch time and he's delighted that Jeff now has the chance.
