Hatched Plan Worked
You work had in training so it's always nice when things come off, and Brighton certainly benefited from something that had been planned ahead of the QPR game.
Albion defender Bruno had done his homework with Leo Ulloa revealing to the Argus that the pair had worked on a move that brought us the opening goal in our 2-0 win at the Amex on Tuesday.
Leo is good in the air and isn't afraid to get his head on the end of a cross but with QPR having some height in their backline the Albion striker and the fullback had talked about him delivering a cross low to him, which is what he did for Leo to tap in the opener.
'Bruno told me before the game that their centre-backs are very good in the air and that he was going to try to cross hard and low.
'I normally like crosses hung up in the air. We had very few chances to get crosses in but it was really important that we spoke beforehand so I understood what he was going to do.
'He did it exactly how he said he would. It was a perfect cross.'
Those of us that are a certain age, like myself, will be familiar with the classic TV series The A-Team that was famous for many things but in particular the saying from Hannibal 'I love it when a plan comes together'.
A plan certainly did come together for us on Tuesday night.
