'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Garcia - Wary Of Wigan Threat

Head coach Oscar Garcia has said he's very wary of Wigan's attacking threat, and he knows we have to be at our best to get the result we want this weekend.

Speaking to the Official Site ahead of the game at the Amex, Uwe Rosler's boys travel to us on the back of three consecutive wins and they are definitely in form at the moment, and despite them losing Ben Watson for the match against us, Oscar knows we cannot take them lightly because there is more than just Watson to them.

'In my opinion Wigan have the strongest and biggest squad in the league and it will be a massive test for us. They have lost Watson but they have 25 other players good enough to play in every game, but we will have to see how they come to play though. It's a big game.'

Garcia says he's well aware that Rosler rotates his pack and formations to suit and attempt to exploit the opposition they face, and having done really well at Brentford he's now carrying that on with them, but such is the size of their squad he could probably pick three different starting elevens which of course brings some interesting questions to our preparations because we don't quite know what he will do.

Of course things don't get easy for us thanks to the planks at UEFA because following the Wigan match, we then face Hull in the FA Cup again on Monday so Garcia has to play with the idea of using the squad to try and pick successive elevens himself that can get a result on both Saturday and then Monday, as each are important to our overall aims.

He says the Cup match won't affect how he approaches the game and you wouldn't expect it to, but something will have to give in terms of selections or maybe early substitutions to eek out a touch more freshness, especially as we'll go into both looking for the win.
