'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Brighton v Hull (Preview)

We now know that victory over Hull will see a Brighton reunion with Gus Poyet in the quarter finals of the FA cup after the draw was made on Sunday.

Hull aren't going to relish the trip to the Amex but with them being the Premier League side Steve Bruce's side will still be viewed as the favourites to win this fifth round meeting on Monday night.

After making his return as a sub in the win over Leeds in midweek Will Buckley could make his first start of the year and even though he didn't get on himself, also being on the bench against Leeds, Jake Forster-Caskey should be in from the start.

Oscar will, as he has throughout the FA cup run, make plenty of changes but maybe not as many was in previous rounds with a quarter final place at stake but injuries will keep out Keith Andrews, Andrew Crofts, Will Hoskins and Craig Mackail-Smith.

Sone Aluko hasn't started a game in four months due to injury but a first start should come for the Hull striker with Shane Long and Nikica Jelavic both cup tied.

An ankle injury will keep Paul McShane out long term but Allan McGregor could come back into goal after a three match suspension with several chances likely to be made by Bruce with Premier League survival in mind.

We've won the last four games at the Amex and we know a fifth will put us into the quarter finals for the first time since 1986 with, even though they're a Premier League side, the omens good for us as we've won the previous two FA cup meetings with Hull in 1985 and in that 1986 quarter final year.

It's a game that could go anyway but with home advantage this is our real chance of progression.
