'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Professional Display Delights Oscar

Head coach Oscar Garcia has hailed the professional display of the lads today as we completed a Championship double over Doncaster Rovers.

Following on from our three one victory over Doncaster earlier in the season, a solitary goal from Ulloa was enough to seal us the double over them and a return of another three points to put the disappointment of Watford behind us.

Speaking to the Official Site following the match, our gaffer explained.

'We had the game under control for the whole 95 minutes, we created a lot of chances and we were confident that we would score. I think we fully deserved the win but we had to wait until Leo took one really well, it was a great header.'

Oscar goes on to say that he's delighted to see us get back to winning ways again, and he was pleased that we were able to give the fans three points to cheer again.

For Leo, he said the goal will do his confidence a lot of good as he's been finding the net regularly in training, so to bring that through to a game again as it has been a while since he last scored, will do him the world of good and hopefully he can go on a bit of a run again now scoring more regularly like he was during the first half of the season.

As for home debutant David Rodriguez, Garcia was again pleased with his performance levels during the game, and he adds that the striker had done everything that was asked of him, so as he keeps finding his feet in the league there should be a lot more to come from him in the coming weeks which should serve the club well.

With Leeds up next at the Amex, Oscar does say he prefers it when the schedule reads home, away, home, away, but given the run of four matches on home soil now he thinks the players will relish the opportunity to thrill the crowd in successive games, and he just hopes we can get the results we all want by the time the next away game cycles round.
