'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Stephens Has A Donny Point To Prove

New midfielder and January signing Dale Stephens has said that he has a score to settle when we face Doncaster Rovers in our next game.

Speaking to the Official Site Stephens explained that during his time at Charlton, and it only happened a few weeks ago, they got beaten 3-0 in their game against Rovers so on a personal basis he's got a little bit of revenge to sort out there, and hopefully it will be to our benefit.

'We weren't at our best, and we had a man sent off, but they fully deserved their win. I'll be looking to put that right. Hopefully we'll pick up the win and I'll be able to give the lads a few points, having faced them so recently.'

Having joined us in last transfer window, Stephens went straight into the side for the game against Watford last Sunday and even though the result certainly didn't go for us on the day, Stephens was pleased with his debut otherwise, and the credit he received for his efforts.

Obviously a more positive result would've made his Brighton opener a better experience, but now he's has a taste, he knows he has to bed in further, and improve more and really justify the club's faith in putting their trust in him.

His impact might not be overnight, but in time, he's certainly highly rated enough and has had the admirers in the past which would imply he could have a very big role to play for us as the season draws to a close.
