Maksimenko To Join Killie

Maksimenko To Join Killie

There seems to be plenty of movement at the Amex this month, unfortunately most of it involves players leaving Brighton and not them arriving.

Vitalijs Maksimenko looks likely to become the next to go, with other more highly rated players at Albion also still being linked with exits too including Liam Bridcutt and Will Buckley of course.

Maksimenko, who has been limited with his football this season and in fact since he signed, has been lined up by Kilmarnock with Allan Johnson expecting to have the Latvian international secured in time for the weekend.

Still heavily involved in the national side a move would seem the best thing for the 23-year-old after just two appearances for Albion and a first team struggle since his arrival from Skonto Riga a year ago.

I'm not sure if this will be a loan or a permanent move to Rugby Park, it appears it'll be a loan move until the end of the season though.
