Crystal Palace Targetting Buckley

Crystal Palace Targetting Buckley

It's being reported in the press today that Crystal Palace have joined Sunderland in being interested in winger Will Buckley.

The 24 year old was reportedly subject to a £1.5million offer from Sunderland earlier in the window, but the club turned that offer down and former manager Gus Poyet is still said to be interested in the player, but the Liam Bridcutt situation has overtaken that at the moment.

With new Palace manager Tony Pulis looking to strengthen his options at the club as they bid to stave off relegation in their first season back in the top flight, it's now said that he is mulling over a £2million bid for the player which the press believe would be enough to tempt us into doing a deal.

Obviously Buckley has signed a new contract recently and even though he has only scored once this season, he has had obvious injury issues to deal with this campaign and may or may not make a first appearance since December when we play Port Vale.

We are looking to strengthen, given our position in the league would £2million be enough to weaken the squad?
