No Cards For LuaLua This Christmas

The departure of Craig Conway, at the end of his loan spell with Brighton, left an opening against Huddersfield. Will Buckley add Kaz LuaLua were in the running to fill this void.

Manager Oscar Garcia opted to go with Buckley.

Oscar lifted the lid on this decision, post match telling the Argus that the continuing fitness that LuaLua is looking to build up following a knee injury meant that he wasn't ready to play the full 90-minutes, whereas Buckley was. Which all makes sense.

LuaLua did come on in the goal less draw with Huddersfield and picked up a yellow card, something he'll be looking to avoid in the Christmas games as if he doesn't he'll find himself on the sideline again due to a suspension.

Once we get into the New Year the five-card limit, that brings an automatic one-match suspension, is increase to eight I think it is? As much as we all want cards at Christmas LuaLua will be looking to avoid a yellow one from any officials in the next two games, the same goes for Andrew Crofts and Inigo Calderon as they are also walking that tightrope.
