'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Two Points Dropped For Oscar

Manager Oscar Garcia has said unfortunately for him, he felt our dominance in the game against Huddersfield meant we should've had all three points, so whilst he's pleased with how we played, approached the game, and the effort we put in, he still ended the 90 minutes believing it was two points dropped.

Speaking to the Official Site following the nil nil draw, the message from the gaffer to the players was very simple indeed - be more clinical.

'We played much better than Huddersfield and we deserved to win, we did everything but score. We played really well and I was pleased, but we could not put the ball in the net. We have to improve our conversion rate, but the way we will improve is by continuing to play well and create chances.'

Of course, he's right. It would be more of a problem if we weren't creating chances and opposed to just being wasteful, because eventually it really will click and the goals will go for us, but even if with that said we will have games like that and it's not as if we are that goal shy recently in games, so it's a disappointment but not something to be overly concerned with.

Garcia goes on to say in the interview that he hopes in the next match we are more 'accurate' in front of goal again to ensure that we do end a game receiving from it what we deserve when it comes to points, but unlike a lot of managers' at this time of year he says he doesn't believe that the game was overly affected by the weather conditions and he was far more interested in the fact that he made two changes from the Middlesbrough game and he was pleased to see that they slotted right in so he's delighted with the overall cohesion we have amongst the players and how he can alternate things without issues arising.
