Brighton Sign Conway

Brighton Sign Conway

The Seagulls have finally managed to bring in a winger come striker to boost the ever depleting ranks at the Amex
Oscar Garcia has signed 28 year old Craig Conway on a 93 day loan from Premiership new boys Cardiff City.

Conway is a recent Scottish International who started his career off with hometown Club Ayr United before being signed by Dundee United.
He signed for Cardiff in 2011 after scoring twice in the Scottish Cup Final against Ross County, as reported on the Albion's official Club Website Click Here.

The diminutive Scot scored 7 times for the Welshman with one of those strikes being the goal that sent Cardiff into the Premiership.
Oscar Garcia says that he is an experienced championship player who also has that international experience that makes him a great asset to the club.

Personally I love this sort of player who is small and tricky and basically a pain in the bum for defences to deal with. I see him as an ideal partner for our Argie frontman Ulloa, although with Orlandi injured he may well find himself having the role of wide left attacking midfield but this could free Buckley up to support Ulloa.

Conway appears to be out of favour at Cardiff and if he does well in his loan spell, the Albion may well sign him full time to bolster a squad what is quite thin on the ground when it comes to attack minded players. He will be free to play at Reading on Sunday subject to International clearance; if you watched the England v Scotland game a few weeks back you would have seen him come on as a second half sub at Wembley for the jocks.

Here's hoping that he is the first of 2-3 signings this week.

Come on Albion!!
