News From The Albion This Week

Oscar Garcia is pleased with the progress of the players on the injury list according to the clubs official website.

Andrea Orlandi and Bruno Saltor are both back in full training and Keith Andrews has recovered fully from his hamstring injury. However Ashley Barnes is still working on his own due to his hip injury and CMS is still a good six weeks away from full training.

Meanwhile Albion's ladies thrashed Keynshams 6-3, with Agg (2), Barton, Khassal, Beaumont and Waine the scorers.

The under 18's had a good away draw with what is always a strong Brentford youth side, Harris and Deen put the young Seagulls 2-0 ahead but with a goal just before halftime and a dramatic 97th minute equalizer, Brentford managed to scrape a point.

In something that was a bit of a none story for me, La Liga outfit Ossasuna, who ex-Albion favourite Michael Robinson played for, apparently asked about the availability of Brighton Head Coach Oscar Garcia but were given short thrift and have now appointed another Garcia, Javi.

Talking of OG, he stated that he was massively impressed by the turnout of Seagulls fans at the signing session this week at the Amex, Garcia, assistant Nathan Jones, Stephen Ward and Keith Andrews spent an hour and a half signing Brighton books and shirts etc, trying to beat a queue that snaked around the outside of the Amex.
