Seagulls start at Elland Road

Seagulls start at Elland Road

Albion will return to the ground where they secured their place in the 2012/13 Championship play-offs, as an opening day trip to Elland Road looms.

A dramatic late win under the West Yorkshire sunshine, courtesy of a trademark Leo Ulloa header, made for a memorable afternoon for Poyet's travelling Seagulls last season - although the suspended Uruguayan will not be returning to his former employers this time around (August 3rd).

Albion host Nigel Clough's Derby County in their first league fixture at the Amex the following Saturday, which proceeds their midweek Capital Cup One home tie against Newport County.

Other fixtures of note include a Boxing Day trip to Charlton Athletic, before hosting newly-promoted south coast neighbours Bournemouth on New Year's Day.

West Country newcomers Yeovil Town travel to the Amex for the penultimate fixture, while Albion conclude their regular campaign with a tough clash away to Nottingham Forest.
