Patience key as David ponders Amex return
David Lopez' Albion future hangs in the balance, but the Spaniard will not be rushing into a decision, confirms his agent.
A star performer in the latter half of the 2012/13 campaign, fans will be hoping to see gifted La Liga veteran take up the club's extension offer following the end of his initial one-year deal at the Amex.
Whilst it has been reported that a number of options are on the table for the 30-year-old, with Forest and Middlesbrough two clubs rumoured to be interested, David's agent Miguel Angel Cermeño informed the Argus that Albion remain at the front of the queue.
With discussions due to take place upon David's return from a summer break, Miguel confirmed, "David is on holiday.
"I'm waiting to meet with him and to talk about it but that's normal because this is a holiday period.
"People must have patience. We will talk about Brighton first, of course, because that is ethical and professional which is my way of working. He was very happy there last season."
