Bridge in Championship Team of the Year
Albion left-back Wayne Bridge has been named in the PFA Championship Team of the Year.
Recognised by his fellow professionals, 32-year-old Bridge is Albion's only representative in the Championship XI - with possible contenders Liam Bridcutt and Tomasz Kuszczak missing out for their respective positions.
The signing of Bridge last summer represented quite a coup for the Seagulls, and the ex-England international has certainly not disappointed, proving to be the epitome of consistency, thwarting many a tricky winger and providing ample support in attack.
Claiming his south coast loan switch has given him a "new lease of life", Bridge has made 37 Championship appearances so far, scoring 3 goals along the way.
The full PFA Championship Team of the Year is as follows:
Kasper Schmeichel (Leicester City)
Kieran Trippier (Burnley)
Wes Morgan (Leicester City)
Mark Hudson (Cardiff City)
Wayne Bridge (Brighton & Hove Albion)
Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace)
Thomas Ince (Blackpool)
Peter Whittingham (Cardiff City)
Yannick Bolasie (Crystal Palace)
Glenn Murray (Crystal Palace)
Matej Vydra (Watford)
