Referee Phil Dowd passed the pitch as playable, whilst the local authorities have deemed the surrounding areas safe for fans travelling to and from the stadium.
Seagulls supporters will be relieved the hear the news after their recent trip to Blackburn was cut short owing to a waterlogged pitch, leaving them with a game in hand to be played next Tuesday.
