Plymouth prospect to join?

Albion are reportedly keen on bringing in young Plymouth stopper Christian Walton, according to Sky Sports.

Keen to build for the future, the Seagulls have been watching the 17-year-old stopper for a while, however they may face a fair bit of competition for his signature - with Fulham previously linked.

Walton is yet to make a first team appearance for the struggling Pilgrims, but has attracted interest after promising performances at youth and development level.

Gus Poyet has taken Walton on trial at the Amex with a view to adding the talented youngster to his ranks - so we'll keep you updated on whether the move goes through.

Two of Albion's first team squad keepers, Casper Ankergren and Peter Brezovan, are both out of contract in the summer of 2013.
