Albion close in on Ulloa

Albion have moved closer to securing that elusive target man, with Leonardo Ulloa set for talks over the weekend.

The Argentine striker, 26, currently plies his trade at Spanish second division club UD Almería, with whom Albion have now agreed a transfer fee.

A lingering passport issue has been resolved, with Ulloa successfully acquiring dual Spanish nationality, freeing him up to discuss personal terms and ideally complete the switch over the coming days.

The club have confirmed that he will be in attendance at the Amex tomorrow to watch Poyet's men take on Derby County in a vital Championship clash.

Standing at 6ft 2, Ulloa could be potentially be the missing piece of the jigsaw for the Seagulls, offering a much needed aerial threat and poaching presence in the box.

He started his career in Argentina, but has scored most of his goals since making the move to Spain, boasting a near one in two ratio for both Castellón and Almeria over the course of 5 years.
