Buckley pens long-term deal

Will Buckley has pledged his future to the Albion by signing a new four-and-a-half year deal.

Amidst January speculation surrounding a number of Poyet's key men, it'll come as music to the ears of the Seagulls faithful that their electrifying wideman has signed a deal that'll tie him to the club until the summer of 2017.

Buckley, 23, joined the Albion for a fee of £1m in 2011, and has since gone on to establish himself as one of the top wingers in the Championship, earning plaudits for his goalscoring ability as well as his unstoppable speed on the flanks.

Poyet told seagulls.co.uk, "We are absolutely delighted to have agreed this new deal with Will. He has been our match winner many times, and has been one of our key players since he arrived.

"He has earned this new deal with his performances on the pitch. I am pleased he is settled and so happy here. It is great for us that he has committed his long-term future to the club."
