Albion skipper Gordon Greer says the side must improve their home form if they wish to secure a much coveted play-off spot come the end of the season.
The Seagulls have had a tough time of it at the Amex this term, with many a side setting their stall out with the sole intention of frustrating Poyet's men - a sign of respect perhaps, but an obstacle the Albion must overcome.
As a result, the team have picked up just 4 wins from their 12 home league fixtures so far this campaign, with half (6) ending in stalemates. And captain Gordon Greer is hoping to see the side convert a few more home draws into wins.
He told BBC Sussex, "A lot of teams come to the Amex, sit in and make it difficult for us.
"The points we've picked up from the home games are not as good as the performances have been."
Despite this, the Seagulls remain in the play-off picture, as they lie just 3 points short of Millwall in 6th place, albeit with an extra game played.
He continued, "It's there for everybody to see.
"We should have a few more points on the board but it is up to us to keep the performances going and hopefully get the results.
"Away from home there is more emphasis on the home team to come at us.
"We are still in a decent position so it is not all doom and gloom."
