Bridcutt: We're a lot wiser now
Midfield lynchpin Liam Bridcutt feels that improved performances this term have been in part down to lessons learned from last season.
The 23-year-old, who made his 100th league appearance for the Seagulls last weekend, believes the side now know what it takes - and with the additions to the playing squad in the summer, are better equipped to sustain a push towards the upper echelons of the Championship.
He told seagulls.co.uk, "This year we have a stronger squad and you can see that in the performances we have produced.
"There have only been two bad performances all season so far and last season we had a lot more. We are a lot more wiser to the Championship and we know what it takes to be at the top of the league. We have proved that we can play against some of the top sides.
"We were a little bit disappointed with the performance and result at Charlton but we have had a good week of training and all the boys are looking forward to the Nottingham Forest game and playing at home."
And ahead of tomorrow's home fixture with Forest, Bridcutt insists Albion's destiny is in their own hands.
"Forest are a good side but we know what it is going to take to beat them - it is down to us to put that into action."
