Vicente nearing long-awaited return?

Vicente could be making a return for the Albion in the next month or two - according to the Argus.

It is thought that Poyet is hoping to see the often AWOL Spaniard make a New Year return to his match-fit playing squad, as the side look to mount a 2013 promotion bid.

Despite a promising pre-season, Vicente's actual season never really got started, as he suffered a thigh tendon injury in his very first league appearance of the campaign against Cardiff City.

But Poyet is keen to see the former Spanish international back in the stripes as soon as possible, and has likened his potential return and impact on the team to that of a new January signing.

He told the Argus, "That is the idea. It doesn't need to be in January, it could be in December! I won't have a problem if he can play on the 29th (home to Watford) or the 22nd (away to Blackburn).

"If that was the case it would be great."
