'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Dickenson heads for Chesterfield

Albion youngster Brennan Dickenson has joined League Two Chesterfield on a one-month loan.

The left-sided attacker arrived at the Albion from Dorchester Town earlier this year, but has seen his progress halted somewhat by injury troubles, resulting in fleeting appearances for the club's development squad.

Having attracted interest from a number of league clubs, the 19-year-old is keen to get some competitive football under his belt, and a move to the Spireites will provide just that.

Albion boss Gus Poyet told the official site, "There was a lot of interest and it will be good for him to play regularly in the Football League. He is strong and very quick, which makes a big difference at that level.

"We have kept him with us because we have wanted him to learn about the way we play, but it will be good for him to play some games too."
