Vincelot to Gills

Romain Vincelot has been snapped up by League Two Gillingham on a two-month loan.

The 26-year-old Frenchman joins Martin Allen's promotion chasing side having fallen out of favour at the Albion, despite proving his versatility during 20 appearances for the club last season.

Vincelot joined the Seagulls from Dagenham & Redbridge last summer, where he earned a reputation as one of League One's star midfielders, bagging 12 goals in all during the 2010-11 campaign at Victoria Road.

Gills manager Martin Allen commented, "We have a few players missing due to knocks and felt it necessary to bring in another.

"Romain is a goal scoring midfielder who has scored goals in this division and achieved a promotion. He is a good signing."
