Poyet confident Dobbie will be a hit

Gus Poyet has no doubts that new signing Stephen Dobbie will deliver for Albion, despite drawing blanks in his opening 5 appearances.

The Scot has made a slow start to his Seagulls career, playing in a variety of positions, including spearheading the attack, and also in the hole behind the front-man. But the ex-Swansea man is yet to play alongside current top scorer Craig Mackail-Smith.

And Poyet is excited about what Dobbie can achieve once he is fully accustomed to the Uruguayan's way of playing, citing that a first goal could also help to unleash the player's potential - in a side that could do with another goal threat after 1 just goal in their last 3 games.

The Albion boss told the Argus, "Stephen Dobbie is going to be fantastic for us, I am 100% sure of that.

"It is just a matter of time before he will click in the way we play.

"He will score a goal and from then on he will be a key part of the future."
