Bruno up for monthly prize

Bruno up for monthly prize

Bruno Saltor's scintillating displays during September have seen him nominated for the Football League Championship's Player of the Month Award.

The Spanish right-back has been an instant hit with the fans after signing from Valencia this summer, owing to his vibrant and incisive attacking play on the right-flank - with three assists to his name already.

Of course, Bruno has also played his part defensively, as Albion currently boast the meanest back-line in the Championship - just two goals landing up in Kuszczak's net during Bruno's four appearances in September.

He faces stiff competition for the award, with Leicester's burly centre-half Wes Morgan, and the enigmatic Glenn Murray, formerly of Albion, now of arch-rivals Crystal Palace, also nominated.

The winner is due to be announced on Friday morning.
